January - March

Prawns, Oysters, Crabs and Chinook Salmon what a culinary delight! This is the season to enjoy the beauty and serenity of Barcley Sound while fishing and trapping your way to a cooler of the Pacific's tastiest bounties.This is also Prime Steelheading Season, Stamp river produces lots of hatchery fish through the season with other streams kicking in February. This is a great opportunity to escape winter humdrum and capitalize on what the marine environment has to offer.

May - June

All fired up for the season! These months offer premium quality red meat chinook salmon up to 30lbs.Peek season for Halibut,Lingcod and Red Snapper all target species at this time of year.Avoid any crowd and harvest these species at thier prime.

July - August

Chinook [King,Tyee] fishing at its best! Adult chinook and Coho salmon make their way home to local streams. Trophy Chinook exceeding 30lbs are frequent and captures to 60lbs recorded with abundant Coho averaging 6-15lbs.Hallibut are still going strong at this time so limits of them can also be produced. Poundage resulting in cooler crisis can be an issue so be prepared.

September

Good numbers of local adult salmon are still in the area as well as juvenile feeders.This is the best month for top water northern Coho. Some halibut are still in the picture and Lingcod and Rockfish start picking up again. This is a great time of year to relax and enjoy the area's stunning beauty and picturesque sunsets.

November - December

Back to the river! Seasonal rains bring swollen rivers triggering salmon to charge up their home rivers. The water has also cooled making summer steelhead very active and easy to catch. Adventurous anglers wishing to explore Vancouver Island's numerous streams can fish a different river every day . So what's going to be your West coast Sport fishing Adventure?
